    Hello–
Many thanks for all the info at your webpage,
    especially the DIY section.

I hope you can help me with a small diy of mine:
I want to “extract” the link to the “live camera shot”
at the bottom of this webpage:
    http://ead.ca/
The page takes a long time to load
and I am only interested in the live cam view.
I have done this many times before by viewing
the source HTML code but this one
    has me stymied.

    Many thanks for your time.

I’ve seen this kind of thing before with “static” video files, but I’ve never played with a live stream embedded into a page with a javascript library. Fun stuff!

There is a RTMP feed that you have to link to: rtmp://live.ead.ca:1935/EAD_01/EAD_01.stream

It’s kind of quirky for me, it could be of the amount of DNS hops to Canada and refresh frequency, but here is a working example:

      http://jsbin.com/hayuzo/

It still needs some work, but that should help get you started.

There are dozens of these sort of libraries, but video.js is pretty slick. I will have to remember this if I ever have a need for it.

      I hope that helps!
